⚠️ NOTICE: Temporary Land Development Moratorium in Effect Effective September 8, 2026, the Town of Galestown has enacted a temporary 6-month moratorium on applications for subdivisions, site plans, and major land use modifications (Resolution No. R-26-1). Minor repairs and standard residential renovations are exempt.
Building Permits and Inspections
All building, renovation, or subdivision projects must first be reviewed and approved by the Town Commissioners before going to Dorchester County Planning and Zoning.
Please submit a Letter of Intent and a Site Plan to start the review process. This includes any electrical or plumbing upgrades or changes.
